while I lived in russia I thought germany would be a good place to build [s]useful[/s] startups, make money and live freely
what do I see now?
- to have money for default life locals hide their real revenue from tax service
- to save mental health people, especially berliners, downgraded their lvl of comfort and accepted it as normal
- expressing your thoughts is not ok, using drugs and getting drunk is normal
- homophobie is not allowed, but gays can harass you. At the same time, you should handle it friendly if you're a straight man
should I leave berlin asap?
should I leave germany?
any better place to live?

Try Mexico, cheep, simple, and if the language is a problem then just use Google translate or go to a high populated city. Self check out is a thing, even in the poor places, doctors speak English and food tastes good.
That or you can come hang in Texas.
