the price of chips is TOO DAMN HIGH

give the Price per bag/gram. Let's compare prices in cities and countries.

At my local grocery chain store, the regular price of an 8 oz (225g) bag of lays potato chips is $5. You can often buy decent cuts of steak for a similar price by weight depending on the season. To charge this much for Fried slices of potato dusted with salt or other seasonings is criminal
They do offer discounts pretty regularly of certain types, today for example I bought a bag for $2.50 with a coupon that I have to scan with the fucking app of course. Or more commonly they'll offer a similar deal like $2 a bag but you have to buy at least 4 at a time.
It's all so tiresome.

I tried Takis yesterday and they were so gross
explain yourself, America

China
220g lays chips costs 17¥,about 2.3$ using the current exchange rate of ¥-$
it does seems high in America lol

>>303776
Did you buy the one made in Mexico or Made in Spain?

Here in France grocery prices are crazy too.
I thought Germany got more expensive, but nono, even Rewe prices are heaven compared to this.
1 baguette: 1,30
1 liter of oat milk: 2,5 - 3 euros
200g of minced meat: 5-10 euros
1kg of salmon: 60 euros
1 paprika: 1 euro
1kg apples: at least 2,5 euros

>>303778
Spain
the flavor was Queso Volcano and it was like dumping a packet of salt and spices on my tongue (but somehow it wasn't spicy at all)

>>303780
I will be in Warsaw soon.

>>303780
You talked shit about a poor russian bern for drinking energy drinks. Meanwhile you stuff your throat with this american poison.

>>303784
>bern
based

That's why TSMC is so important.

>>303779
those prices are not expensive except for the salmon

>>303787
Here it's 10 euro/kg, but that's because it's imported (mostly Norwegian and Danish), they should have locally sourced salmon in France. The rest looks more or less normal, yeah.

>>303779
Germany
1 baguette: 70 cents
1 liter of oat milk: 1 euro (cheapest)
500g of minced meat: 5-6 euros
3 paprikas (500g): 2 euro
rest I don't know.

read again
in Germany there is a lot of supermarket competition, hence they can't rip us off so easily.
also, we are just very efficient - the staff as well as the customers and even the product design.
For example, in German discounters bar codes are printed on every side of the product so it doesn't matter what side faces down when scanning it.
Also we are afraid of not having our things packed up as soon as the cashiers finishes scanning and asks for payment.
Meanwhile in France, people take 5 minutes to pack up their things before paying and while not particularly common anymore (god bless), paying with a check is also a practice here and it wastes another few minutes of everyones time.

>>303787
Meat also seems quite weird for 200g.
>>303779
>>303791
To be honest, last time I was in France (few months ago) I didn't notice any big difference with grocery prices. Anyway, here in the Netherlands that would be
1 baguette: 1.40 - 2.50
1 liter of normal milk: 1.50 (I guess the oat milk is slightly more expensive?)
500g of minced meat: 5 euros
salmon: no idea
1 paprika: 0.95
1kg apples: 2 euro

>>303794
>To be honest, last time I was in France (few months ago) I didn't notice any big difference with grocery prices.
I don't know about the difference with Netherlands, but French prices were approximately twice the German ones year and a half ago, that's why I figured it was normal (minus the salmon thing, that's ridiculous if true).

>>303796
I feel like today all the prices in EU are getting closer to each other. I was in Austria recently, and I remembered prices there being much cheaper than the Dutch ones but it's not the case anymore.
I wonder if the same thing is going to happen to the wages across EU...

>>303802
It's hard to tell, but the market as a whole definitely feels much more integrated than, say, a decade ago.

>>303792
I've read multiple times that the food quality in France, Spain, and Italy is way better than ours because germans buy their food as cheap as possible. Isn't that the case?

>>303805
it depends
it really is easier to buy high quality meat for somewhat okay prices in a middle range while in Germany we get to choose between low quality ultra cheap and high quality ultra expensive
however I truly believe that this "muh discounters sell bad quality" statement is bullshit made up by people who profit from justifying higher prices

>>303808
how do you identify "high quality meat"?

>>303782
what will you be doing there?
>>303784
but it's not like I eat that every day
>>303794
1 baguette (250g): 1 euro
1 liter of oat milk: 1,5 euros
500g of minced meat: 5 - 12 euros
1kg of salmon: 25 euros
1 paprika: 1 euro
1kg of apples: 0,5 - 2 euros
>>303811
just look in the mirror
Lay chips 240g 92 pesos, 5.13 euros or 5.55 dollars

>>303779
>1kg of salmon: 60 euros
no way. that's fucking insane unless it's some super high quality wild salmon

>>303830
Going shooting, visit museums, take walks around the city and more. Any recs?

>every bernd talking about the 60 euro salmon
Fine, guess I'll be taking a picture at the store today.

>>303859
I really wonder how these niggas survive with food prices like this.
Also, it triggers me that they produce so much waste only two slices of ham. But I guess nobody could afford a package with 10 slices inside.
And instead of trying to make things more affordable, they pay people to but the vegetables in a nice order (pic 2) and build pyramids of apples.

>>303869
oh that's smoked salmon. that can be pretty eggspensive here too. I thought you meant like raw salmon filets

>>303771
2 cheeseburgers and small fries,.. $13. 48 at McDonalds yesterday.
I'm done with that place

>>303918
using the apps is the only way to get reasonably priced fast food nowadays. and if you're a true burgermeister like myself, you'll use burner emails to make new accounts so you use promos multiple times

>>303919
bout to have me a $2 Wendy's Dave's double for dinner btw

>>303918
Lmao, burgers seething because fast food chains charge them euro tier fast food prices.

>>303935
I wish a big fag cost this much in fingolia, that would protect our many fatties from getting fatter

>>304037
Did Hesburger raise it's prices like all the fast food places here?

>>303771
cwisps

>>304057
biscuits and gravy

>>304052
idk i haven't eaten @bogdanoff's in years

>>304082

>>304052
Oh God I haven't listened to this song for sooo many years

ate an entire bag of chips again. I'm a menace to society

>>305024
what kind of chips?

>>305025
I ate an entire bag of blue M&Ms today, I always feel dirty afterwards, but once I start, I can't stop eating

>>305029
do you miss the sexy m&m?

>>305035
No, although I'm open to new flavors

>>305029
Sugar is like cocaine to your brain.
Side aleffects are shitty teeth, obesity, and fried brain cells.
>Once I start I can't stop.
Congratulations you're a junky.

>>305053
So, what was the point of insulting me and calling me a junkie?

>>305089
perhaps you'll start reflecting and stop being sugar addicted

>>305118
>salted caramel
I remain skeptical

>>305119
maybe it's better this way, if you taste salted caramel you won't be able to stop
