I need help addressing the report about death threat for police as anonymous. I do not wish killers from Poland knowing my real name.
You have further advice for me how to proceed?
I will be emailing Valve for assistance before I post anything to the police. When it comes to Finnish police, you are not allowed to file a threat anonymously. How can I move on concerting the situation? "Just forgetting about it" is no longer an option, as my somebody threatens my family. I will get this dude by legal means.
The actual threat & data:.
Ice Vanilla : <my name in caps>
<My Response>: JOU
Ice Vanilla : I WILL *** UR FAMILY
Ice Vanilla : FOR THIS
Ice Vanilla : REMEMBER ******
<Me Responce> : for wat
Ice Vanilla : BOT
<My responce> : wtf
Hostnaem: Valve CS:GO Poland Server (srcds1043-waw1.189.22)

The Finnish ylilauta requires a gold account to post these days :D... That's why I'm here. Ylilauta is more like reddit than an imageboard.
Thank you /kraut/ brothers and sister in advance. Peace, Love & Understanding <3

Are you for real?
Who cares about death threats in video games? It's just a fat slav kiddo raging.

>>141960
"Just forgetting about is it not an option anymore"
I do care about threats, no matter where they come from. It doesn't make a difference whether it's from a computer game, imageboard or IRC. It's all the same Internet.
Dude get real :)

>>141961
ok bro i'll kill you and your family

>>141962
Are you sure you wanted to write this? Now it is too late to be sorry.

>>141965
I'm wetting my pants.
Good luck getting advice here though there are many serious posters who might help.

>>141968
Yeah, I really do know thing or two about boards. Waiting for a some seriousfag/moralfag to answer. I am a bit concerned, as my proifle is linked to me personally.

If he would know your real name, adress, etc. I would start to care
basically what >>141960 says

>>141974
That is the part I'm not sure of being secure. I usually just mute this kind of stuff. I know we have met previously and with sufficient tactical IT skills he might be able to access my information. :(
I wouldn't care otherwise.

>>141975
>with sufficient tactical IT skills he might be able to access my information.
You are worrying way too much.
What did you do btw to upset him?

>>141976
I really cannot remember if I did anything in the past. Nothing too bad. Maybe being a bad player, he tells that i am a "BOT" when asking for the reasoning. Maybe i played bad when he encountered me previously.
It is not clear for me.

>>141978
I'm the Germanyball who replied first.
Are you new to competitive games? Insults and threats like this are normal.
You really don't need to worry. The guy is mad because he lost because of you or against you and is very low IQ so he has to rage to let his emotions go.

>>141978
He doesn't know who you are. Stop caring about it too much.

>>141979
I understand your reasoning, but online threats are a cancer that can be fought against. Nobody threatens my family. :/
I do take this as an attack towards the most precious things I do have.
I have been playing dem games for 20+ years and I know the amount of shittalk that goes on. Still I view all medias in the same light. He probably is just shouting to balance his own bad life with some lulz, but in any case, I am going to file a report about the user.

>>141959
wtf???? are you from reddit?? so your case is some shithead in your mario video game threatened you and you want to make some police case?

This is hilarious.
Here you go srs discussion:
In CS:GO players kill each other no? Maybe he meant he kills you in the game.
Police won't care if someone wrote something in a game. Especially in a game where players kill each other. Even in real irl life people say stupid shit like this.
However if you file a report they have to do something about it. In half a year they'll put the case away they could do nothing.
The bloke lives in another country, they can do nothing with him.
The incident was on a foreign server. Is it an official server of Valve? Because then it's an American company they have to ask for info about the player. They might send them to hui. Maybe not.
On the Hungary you have the right to keep your personal data protected, and ask the police not to give it out to the suspect, and they don't unless they fuck it up somehow the procedure. I'm sure Finlandian laws are even more civilized in this question.

>>141988
>online threats are a cancer that can be fought against
no, not unless you are pro full surveillance and anti free speech
are you trolling? or are you a real redditor?

>>141989
i am from Kuvalauta, definately not a reddit user.

replying in an epin threda

Voted for shitpost of the month

>In CS:GO players kill each other no? Maybe he meant he kills you in the game.
He told he will **** my family. Not me.
>Police won't care if someone wrote something in a game. Especially in a game where players kill each other. Even in real irl life people say stupid shit like this.
It is their obligation to react.
>However if you file a report they have to do something about it. In half a year they'll put the case away they could do nothing.
Maybe you are right here.
>The bloke lives in another country, they can do nothing with him.
We do live in the same country technically, the EU. Europol is the authority here.
>The incident was on a foreign server. Is it an official server of Valve? Because then it's an American company they have to ask for info about the player.
It was an official server and I asked them via customer support about their stance in this.
>I'm sure Finlandian laws are even more civilized in this question.
In Finland I think your name will appear in the documents all parties will receive. I am not 100% positive but it seems to be that way.
thx for response

>He told he will **** my family. Not me.
Does anyone else in your family play CS:GO? Are you a member of a guild or something?

>>142002
We don't go to the Mage's guild but 50% of my family does play CS.

>>142003
Maybe he had sex with your sister and meant that.

>>142006
That might be true. It is all our heads. Maybe he was just kind.

>>141959
You're just gonna ruin your life. Let's say the police arrest him, okay, then what? In a few years he'll be released, and at that point he'll really want to kill you. You'll be forced to leave the country with your whole family, change your legal name, and move to France or some other third world country. Are you prepared for these consequences? Just apologize to him for whatever you did, if you ask nicely, he won't kill you, probably.

>>142010
Thanks for your legitimate concern.. and calling France a 3rd world country :D
Seriously I don't want to over-estimate my own security measures.. (which I do have)
also I don't want to say this but...He really doesn't know with what kind of people he is messing with. I may sound like a person with problems about power fantasies.
I am prepared, I don't know how the situation will be after he will be released (i dont believe he even would be jailed tbh). I don't wish any harm on innocent people. Mixing my family with my personal problems is a strict no-no.
Nobody talks about my family in that tone.
Ofc it's better safe than sorry, I got to ponder about my ultimate decision. I would like to handle this one myself, but is illegal and it's the only thing not going down that road.
I am good at my craft (programming, infosec, pentesting, ethical hackering) since I have work experience and I have studied the subject in academy. 27 years of C++ coding changes the perspective on what you can do... Violence is not the only option and the least desirable one. (i am not going to do any harm to him or his devices, plans, relationships, facebook chat, webcams, keystrokes, you name it, because I am about to pursue my career further)
Thank you for your sweet thoughts and sincere concern. I love you all anonymous friends.

We all got baited.

>>142001
>He told he will **** my family. Not me.
Yeah, people say such shit all the time. Police will think he's just a bydlo and that's it.
Plus he could meant as a superlative, outbidding his previous claim of killing you.
>It is their obligation to react.
Yes I said so next, but the officer getting the case can decide to chuck it in the desk drawer and forget about it.
>technically
Technically you don't. I bet even Europol needs some international warrant or some shit. It is sure it highly depends on the seriousness of the case.
>appear in the documents all parties will receive
No. The formal request contains that especially, to leave it out from the documents. Anyway you should look up the laws regulating the punitive proceedings, that should contain everything about the rights and duties of all the participants. Then you'll be certain how it is done.
>>142028
Treat it as a hypothetical scenario. How it is.

>>142028
This one should have been obvious for bernds. These kinds of cases don't even make it to court before the prosecutor rejects them in Finland t. expert on even worse cases
Of course could be that somebody doesn't know this but 14-year old kids would be jailed all the time. You shouldn't care when somebody throws a spontaneous death threat based on something stupid or even less when he doesn't know any real personal information about you.
What was the purpose behind this trolling. It was yli-tier.

I just wish shitpost of the month was marked with 💩, not 👎.

>>142086
Maybe also automatically moved to /sht/

>>142088
but what do when it's a post, not a thread?

>>142138
Just for threads then

>>142085
You are right, the case is not worth arguing because it would never get processed anyways.
Thank you all for your messages.
