Why people shill their political views so much on imageboards? I can tolerate a few schizos being schizos, or people just argue each other without holding it back, it doesn't bother me at all but there are people who relentlessly make propoganda on imageboards even on small ones like kohl.
Barely anyone goes there, it's not like it's even shillworthy.

I am generally political and I enjoy adding political tone to my posts. Honestly I find apolitical people stupid or maybe a bit naive. Maybe there are people living easy lives outside big cities.
Kohl is not that small though.

Discussing politics in a politics thread can be great fun, doing it everywhere is annoying.
When it comes down to a pure countryballing tier politics discussion like it often is the case on kohl, I think an apolitical person who actively chose to not give a shit about politics anymore is way smarter than these posters.

Are you really political, or are you just being tribal/ideological?
What's the last time you actually participated in decision-making regarding your living community?
Or does your politicalness end with spouting paroles and shittalking those who disagree with them?

Call me schizo but I believe paid shills exist. I saw it in crypto years ago, it existed before in the saloons/bars/cafes, it exist in Facebook/Instagram and apparently it exists in major boards.

I am really political, have been cs gassed a lot and been in plenty of demonstrations but got old. I am also more into actually figuring how the world works than believing and pushing for something. I am reading when I can and also watching a lot about political economics. I am not Dutch btw.
I didn't find a reason to participating in decision making in my community cause there was no community really where I come from (at least how i perceived that). And I haven't end up in paroles.

You think
>have been cs gassed a lot and been in plenty of demonstrations
is being political.
Also you said yourself you never actually participated in politics. Only gooned for (presumably) state-level bosses.

Politics is when you engage in decision making regarding project designed to serve or cater to a community.
When you're acting simply as a megaphone, and when your only contribution is opposing something without knowing what you want instead, you're not an active participant in politics.

What if I dictate whats being discussed simply by bringing new ideas to the discussion? Voting without any enforcement is a bit circlejerking, don't you think?

No, voting is not political.
Voting is simply a regular tally politicians make of their backing so they don't have to fight each other. Well, that was the general idea.

Because politics are interesting to many people, people want to defend their own convictions on a platform on which they can say what they will without consequences
There is a lot of excitement and laughter to be had in the world of contemporary politics

If you aren't shilling for yourself online, I don't even want to comment on it. Enjoy being a goon for someone else, I guess.
