I started over.
Got some mercs from AIM as I still can't access M.E.R.C, I got them with better gear so it's very effective.
GermanyBernd2020-10-14 16:31:57 · 6yNo. 103522reply
Once MERC is available you should get a few of the MERC guys. Best thing about MERC is that they get better mercenaries if you pay em moneys and you are more flexible when it comes to paying MERC mercenaries than say AIM ones.

Also dont forget to keep the equipment before a contract runs out, since you paid for it anyways.

As far as I know, they're going to be patching the missing classes in one at a time during early access.

I don't like the salvia, I took a hit if like 100x concentrate of it once by accident when I was 14.

Immediately disassociated in a way, I collapsed and I saw and tracked the drool from my mouth make the trek to space.

My next drug searchings will lead me into the magical world of salvia. 5meodmt and its cousins shouldn't be an issue to uncover but it can be without the toad or adequate time to extract dmt rich plants.

Somehow i managed to misplace 9 socks during the time i brewed my mescaline and when i drank the sludge. Really rustles my jimmies.

This is what top boomer athletes looked like in the 1970s. Notice the average build, it was barely passing then and inconceivable now.

This relates to the refinement of practically everything we see in out day to day life. People have even become more nuanced and sophisticated because of refinement.

Therefore I declare history as a series of refinements.

I don't see the problem, unless you suffered some serious financial setback. Everyone's keeping their distance at work, small talk's way more sporadic, supervision is down, masks keep me from forcing myself into a "public" mood, interacting with the unwashed masses is limited enough that I barely realize they exist. It's pretty much the one time working has felt comfy.
Honestly I'm pretty happy with these changes. The only issues I have are non-pandemic related, which are their own can of worms.
United StatesBernd2020-10-02 19:41:00 · 6yNo. 103096reply
The one very very good thing about all this is I can ignore my supervisor and still appears as if I’m working to my boss. While my boss is very laid back and manages things best, she needs everything to follow a very very very strict system or else her heda breaks.

The violence was an important element of the original. It was abrupt and unflinching. The remake signposts the violence and so it loses its impact.

I hope the remake goes off in an original direction tbh, because the facsimile approach has been underwhelming so far. Cast is decent, though.

United Stateslyme bioweapon conspiracy theoryBernd2020-10-07 05:58:07 · 6yNo. 103330reply
I often see people claiming that lyme disease is a bioweapon created by the US government in the 50s and 60s. This seems to be popular among internet communist circles but also with the far right. Yet Borrelia burgdorferi DNA (in particular, regions of the ospA gene) has been detected via PCR in museum specimens collected as early as 1894 (Marshall III et al., 1994) and more recently from the 1940s (Persing et al., 1990). Furthermore the presentation of erythema migrans following a tick bite was first described by a Swede in the 1909. So what the fuck?

Diseases we had almost wiped out with vaccines keep coming back, we've had outbreaks of measles around the country lately.

And we're in deep shit if there is enough retards refusing corona vaccineS, from what I understand flu viruses are the most resilient and mutation-happy buggers around, no room for naysayers.
CaliforniaBernd2020-10-09 16:57:44 · 6yNo. 103396reply
So there are some reasons to be a bit cautious when talking about this specific vaccine, as coronaviruses have this weird quirk called immune enhancement.

In some data analyzed in a feline corona virus model, scientist found that an infection (vaccine induced or otherwise) could trigger an immune response that is "improper" (for lack of a better word), and the created antibodies actually help the virus enter host cells. While this would lead to one nasty infection, the worst part about this is that your body will remember how to make these shitty antibodies, so if you get exposed to the virus again, your symptoms will we worse.

Now, a lot of viruses have this quirk, and vaccines work fine, as there are plenty of clinical trials. The main thing that is concerning about this new vaccine is all of the corner cutting.

While I believe that the resulting vaccine will be mostly safe, I doubt that it will be super effective.

United StatesBernd2020-10-09 16:39:08 · 6yNo. 103391reply
Jewish isn’t the problem, it’s just the dickishness that comes with having authority over someone mixed in with the fact that, yes, I do believe women are less capable of being flexible with thinking. I do not know why, but every woman I have interacted with in my life needs things done their specific way and are not open to change at all.

The only issue I can see from this is that you might not have gotten a high enough temperature for "scharf anbraten" (searing?) the steak. And it certainly looks like you're missing some nice Röstaromen. Having a heavier pan and a hot stove helps with that, but cast iron isn't necessary in my opinion. I have a nice steel pan and it works.
Choice of meat is probably an important factor, like you describe, but I'll need to experiment more with that myself.
