the russian is not entirely wrong I find (Im german)

many germans do not really know the, sometimes subtle, but important differences between nationalism, national socialism, patriotism, xenophobia, racism, rightwing, extremism, fascism and such. its all the same spooky evil thing to them admitting that you are skeptic of multiculturalism / open border policy or, conversely, that you like the idea of nationstates, is clearly regarded as something outright evil to do by many germans. both sides get tired of these arguments because both sides dont understand each other and stopped to listen to each other many years ago, and after a while that teaches you to just shut up, and for some (not for me) may contribute to the feeling of collective silencing.

admittedly, it depends where you are. I moslty know people from academia in life sciences, and here everyone is extremely sensitive about these topics. I knew a girl who has a hunter licence and hangs out with hunters and scouts, and for them singing folky songs is no problem at all. The thing is that these stick-up-the-ass acadiema people are the ones becoming journalists, whose job is to be no expert in anything but to report on them, and who then mix up all these words I introduced at the start in their articles in a frustrating way, and normies copy them into the "evil thoughts for evil people who do not deserve my time and understanding" part of their brains.

you can say that germany is good as a german, but it can be risky.

Good morning Bernd, do you like Sushi?
This Bernd loves Sushi, but he is too poor to eat it often so a while ago he decided to learn how to make it himself.

Pic related is his last trial from December, without the booze it was about 15 Euros, enough for 4 people. For this flavour and quality you would easily pay 90+ Euros in a Sushi restaurant.

Today evening he will try it again, this time he will try to:
- make WARSHIP sushi (not so hard)
- not fuck up the eggs structure (hard)
- possibly make eel sushi, if eel is available on the local market

Should Bernd post how he makes the Sushi? Does anyone give a shit?

Does Bernd believe in genetic memory and inherited trauma? I do.

I know it sounds kinda weird and is associated with all kinds of crazy people and crackpot ideas I don't believe in. For example SS-occultist Karl Maria Wiligut who believed he could remember facts from the lives of his Gothic ancesdors. I think Varg has also made similar claims and there are all kinds of new age esoteric ideas about former lives etc. I'm not talking about that.

In recent times, mainstream scientists have started to investigate phenomena in epigenetics where children of people who lived through starvation have a tendency to become fatter in order to prepare for another famine. I have also read an article about a German man who lived through the bombing of Hamburg. Both his son and his grandson had recurring nightmares about fleeing through the burning city to safety, an event he himself really experienced but never talked to them before.

I personally have a really strong feeling of security and safety whenever I am underground. I have been to mines, subways, a bunker and really deep cellars. Other people describe it as uncomfortable to not have windows and think about tons of rock above your head. Personally I find it comforting. It is the strongest feeling I ever experienced from just being in a specific place. I think it must be connected to my grandparents, who lived through one of the worst allied bombings in WWII and regularly had to go into a bunker. One event had my grandmother in a sort of makeshift bunker that caught fire and she had to flee through streets running with rivers of burning phosphorus to another bunker. I imagine this is a trauma I inherited.
Another one is a sort of social anxiety, fear of strangers and of angry people. Several of my ancestors were abused by choleric people and my grandfather was expelled by his Czech neighbours at the end of WWII, which was another extremely traumatic event. The traits that I associate with this experience are present in my father, who is his son, but not my mom. Which further makes me believe this theory is true.

If it’s a religious/magical belief why try to (pseudo)scientifically explain it? Feel as connected to your ancestors as you want to, no shame in it.

It's not religious in the sense that I believe the science might prove me right with future research. I also don't feel more connected to my grandparents, who I generally dislike. I just feel like it makes perfect sense to explain my experiences in life.

>There are anecdotes of people who receive organ transplants and then have new memories or skills
Sounds like press going for sensation.

Generally no I don't believe DNA can affect brain in terms of memories of any kind, I think it only has a structure of a "proto brain" in it.
But brain is more or less a whitelist, at least neo cortex and other complex parts which make us unlike other animals able to solve complex problems.

You can see it in new born kids, they can't even control their limbs, seems like they're just wired to a brain and controlling them is learning process which isn't there right away.

Maybe you can confuse some knowledge with a "genetic memory" if that knowledge is common to almost every individual during development.
Like walking, talking and etc.

Well certain lineages do produce better sons and daughters containing personality traits and skills, so it may be a possibility that is imprinted by the culture of society rather than nature.

Here's some photos of my workplace. I'm a vineyard nigger. Lowest caste of unskilled labour and today was an exceptionally silly day.
My coworker arrived late. Problems weren't as I'm still paid. He took the wrong entrance to the vineyard and took ten minutes to back up the trailer sitting a tractor back onto the right road. Poor guy is overowkred but has a short term memory problem. Then he mangles a few posts as we're setting nets to protect the ripening grapes from pirds. So instead we opt to manually lay out the nets and hook them into spot. Not an issue. We get to the end of our block and he forgets to close ghe door of his tractor. My work mate looks at me in disbelief and I can only smile.
So we take lunch, and mind you, we should have been done most of this netting by now. Then we're faced with continuous netting snaps, and walking up hill was tuckering me out a bit. Still no issues to be had. I rode the tractor to the next block and the netting kept snapping every ten meters. Then the wind made the netting tangle, so I had to clip them to the posts. And we finally stopped at 16:00 and went to clean up the shattered glass, taking a full 45 minutess to clean up the mess.
On the bright side, my coworker is very cute. Very soft spoken and a very easy going kinda man, as I fucked up a few times because I was getting bored by the end.

United StatesSquawking bird blows the whistle on fake video trying to tilt EcBernd2021-02-10 19:07:13 · 5yNo. 109447reply
An attempt to influence the Ecuadorian elections with a fake video purportedly showing leftwing guerrillas endorsing one of the candidates was thwarted by a ground-dwelling bird and a keen-eared ornithologist.
In the video, shared on social media before the election’s first round on Sunday, three masked and armed men stood before the red and black flag of the ELN – Colombia’s largest remaining guerrilla force – and expressed their support for the leftist candidate Andrés Arauz.
A caption at the foot of the screen described the setting as the “Colombian jungle”, but a shrill whistle from somewhere in the shrub gave the game away.

“Tinamous are quite primitive birds. They live on the forest floor and they don’t sing; they have short, inflected whistles,” said Sánchez. “It was just luck that this particular species lives in a very small and rare dry forest ecosystem in western Ecuador and north-west Peru.” Although the ELN have previously operated in northern Ecuador, there is no record of activity in those ecosystem areas.
Spelling mistakes, strange accents and unlikely weaponry further undermined the authenticity of the video, which emerged after the Colombian weekly magazine Semana claimed it had uncovered documents showing ELN support for Arauz. The ELN denies the claim and disavowed the video.
In recent years, organizations such as Bellingcat have mobilized citizen journalists and volunteer experts to verify or disprove online videos. Although the Colombian military has previously used ornithologists to help locate hostages from audio recordings, this is the first time such a process has been used to clip the wings of fake guerrillas.
