I feel ambivalent about Italian sweets.
Sometimes, it's like Italian meals - the simplicity just underlines how fucking on point all of it is and you just devour the whole thing. Tiramisu comes to mind or ice cream or Cantuccini.
But others, also regarded as Italian classics, taste just like fatty cardboard, examples being picrel or those horrible large cakes.

It has two sides that you can see at one, but when you fold it up, a third side appears and one of the previous two disappears into the fold pockets - and also, if you swish it around enough, the sides turn around, like in my initial pic, the circles on the corners were initially drawn in the center
