Is it just me or was the time in school pretty much a time without any law and order?

So many things got stolen or broken. Many times the offender was known but nothing happened. People got bullied and straight up assaulted over and over and no one cared. I don't even know how often I accompanied my friend home while he was bleeding or limping and crying. It's like children are not considered human. They have no right to posses anything and it's expected that they fight each other like animals.

And the schools I went to were not even notorious ones. Just average schools in towns with populations ranging from 12k - 50k.

I'd rather say kids are more similar to adults than people want to think. Adults tend to think that kids are impersonal mass and that one kid is the same as any other - children are just children, rather than individuals with their own personalities. But it's don't, children are little adults and their personalities are even more apparent than those of adults. For example the cruelty of bullies comes into light more clearly than it does in adult bullies in an adult environment. Except prison maybe.

>Adults tend to think that kids are impersonal mass and that one kid is the same as any other
True, but I believe this is best explained by adult's inability to understand children. Adults have settled in their position in society (and I believe teachers mostly don't hold a high position). Children fighting for popularity and respect and intensely experiencing triumph and devastation scares people who have left this behind and want to believe that there is a "good" way of living where everyone can be happy. An idea that the children's behaviour does not support.
FinlandBernd2021-07-31 17:40:13 · 5yNo. 118541reply
I don't think struggle for popularity is such a big thing for kids
Kids mostly care about their friends that they hang out with, not so much what the generaolpopulation in their class thinks

And school violence isn't about fighting forstatus, it happens simply because bullies are sadists by nature, they enjoy injuring and dominating an another individual
GermanyBernd2021-07-31 17:50:59 · 5yNo. 118542reply
>sadists by nature
I'd say: "sadist by evolution". All people are cruel in some way to achieve their goals, whether they're aware of it or not. At some point in life those with more refined and subtle methods of imposing their will on others become more successfull than the bullies but it's all about dominance and status. And those who can't dominate others become Bernds.

I bought nice outdoor pants which I wore for the first time today and they are very comfy. I also managed to go swimming, which was nice. Maybe this evening I will dare to call a hotline for people with problems.

Five years ago around this time I was ghosted by my very very good fren of three years at the time because I sperged out and embarrassed him in front of his cousins.

Something happened that put my heda in that stressed out sperg mode and I just started acting in a paranoid and bizarre way. In this sperged out state I cannot fully control my behavior and bad things end up happening. I think it has to be because of all the sufferings I have been through over the years which have fugged my brain. I know it sounds really disgusting and Reddit tier but it's true.

I have never had a friend who was so on the same wavelenght as me and so similar in almost every way. Interests, opinions, life settis, everything. We had so much fun together. I also introduced him to imageboards which sucked him in instantly.

We would have had so much more fun over these five years of being frens and still more would be ahead. I would have done much better in crypto and work and all fugging things in life (except getting a gf which is impossible). Great discussions of world events and the gayness of life would have been had. But it's don't.

Why must I always suffer? I know that what happened was my own fault but from a certain POV of view it was also a terrible misunderstanding and it should never have happened.

Do things like this happen to any other Bernd? Probably not tbh.

A 44-year-old man presented in May, 2001, with muscle cramps. He had no medical history of note, but volunteered the fact that he had been drinking up to 4 L of black tea per day over the past 25 years. His preferred brand was GoldTeefix (Tekanne, Salzburg, Austria). Since this type of tea had given him occasional gastric pain, he changed to Earl Grey (Twinings & Company, London, UK), which he thought would be less harmful to his stomach. 1 week after the change, he noticed repeated muscle cramps for some seconds in his right foot. The longer he drank Earl Grey tea, the more intense the muscle cramps became. After 3 weeks, they also occurred in the left foot. After 5 weeks, muscle cramps had spread towards the hands and the right calf. Occasionally, he observed fasciculations of the right adductor pollicis and gastrocnemius. Additionally, he noted distal paraesthesias in all limbs, and a feeling of pressure in his eyes, associated with blurred vision, particularly in darkness. On neurologic examination he had reduced visual acuity and fasciculations in the right tibialis anterior and adductor pollicis. Motor and sensory nerve conduction studies of the right median, peroneal and sural nerves were normal. Needle electromyography of the right tibialis anterior showed fasciculations at 6 of 20 sites, but motor unit architecture was preserved. Ophthalmological tonometry and fundoscopy, and cerebral magnetic resonance imaging were normal. Tests of thyroid, hepatic, adrenal, and kidney functions showed no abnormalities. Serum and urine potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, and phosphate were all within the normal range. He did not have polydipsia, and was quite capable of reducing his fluid intake to 1–2 L per day. I excluded motor neurone disease, polyneuropathy, myopathy, neuromyotonia, stiff-man syndrome, and Machado-Joseph disease by appropriate tests. The patient assumed that there was a relation between his symptoms and his tea consumption, and stopped drinking Earl Grey after 5 months, reverting to pure black tea again. Within 1 week, his symptoms had completely disappeared. Symptoms also remained absent if he completely withdrew from tea, which he did in the nature of experiment, for about a week. He found that his symptoms did not recur as long as he consumed no more than 1 L of Earl Grey daily. When last seen in November, 2001, neurological examination, nerve conduction studies, and electromyography were normal. He was still drinking 2 L of plain black tea daily (his entire fluid intake), and had no complaints.

When I read local news it sounds like Covid is mostly over soon. People go back to office, discussions about less restrictions, etc.
But when I read international new it sounds like it's gonna get even worse. Vaccinated people in hospitals, mutations in vaccinated people, new variations with 1000x times the virus count, higher dangers to children.

I am confused.
