Since the last reading thread is too old to bump now, let's continue here. Yesterday I started reading "Marx, Wagner, Nietzsche. Welt im Umbruch." (Marx, Wagner, Nietzsche. World in upheaval.) by Herfried Münkler and I'm already 70 pages in. The author attempts to compare the views and positions of Wagner, Marx, and Nietzsche on the basis of various thematic complexes. He also shows how the three thinkers adapted ideas from each other. I love this kind of book, where I as a reader can simply follow the lives of great men and immerse myself in their world of ideas based on quotes from them.

Yes, after a long day of work I'm just too tired to deal with your bullshit and have endless discussions with you where neither of us will back down, because we think we're both right. I could say that suggesting to watch movies at night instead of sleeping would be a bad and unhealthy idea, then you would conjure some silly reason why that's false and the endless cycle continues.

If you are that type of Bernd that didn't make frens in uni/school you usually won't make them at work either.
For me I think being around and interacting with people at work decreased my social anxiety by a lot and I think it made me less weird. Also it satisfies all my desire to be social and makes me feel more comfortable when I'm all alone in the evening and on the weekends against. So I think I would be way more depressed without work.
How do my Spotify bros cope with the fact that Spotify is an evil company which doesn't pay musicians fairly? I only use it, because streaming music is the most comfortable and I like their recommendation algorithm.

That's just deflecting the responsibility we undoubtedly bear as consumers. It's not that easy. For some artists there are alternatives at least like buying their music on Bandcamp, buying merch or donating to them (or as you already mentioned attending concerts).
Since spotify is paying artists per song listened to and not in bulk like when you buy ans album I think that is more fair. If the artist can't negotiate better prices it's not really my problem.
The last couple of albums I bought because I liked the former music of those artists were a huge let down for me because I didn't like them and only listened to them a couple of times. And of course a huge part of the profit goes to the record company and not the musician so this is not even close to being a good system either.

I hope, you do understand how unfair that statement is? How do you expect independent artists to negotiate anything with a multi-billion dollar company? They don't have leverage.

They still earn much more through record sales than through streaming services.

I've been thinking of trying to talk with all kinds of women when I go back to university, since in the past i only talked to those i deemed attractive, because my poisoned mind thought seggs was the only thing women could offer :D

I have absolutely no idea how the Dominican healthcare system looks like, so I can't comment on that. In Germany you start by going to doctors and therapists, go to clinics and possibly even take meds. Yes, it's hard to get a place somewhere, especially one that is covered by public healthcare, but it's doable. You could also try support groups (I guess kc is already kind of a support group to you).

Ordered ans turkey sub but when I arrived to pick up my order, the bag had TWO subs in it. Did they misread my order and make two turkey subs? Did they perhaps add someone else's sub of a different variety to my bag? Did they just mess up completely and give me someone else's order entirely? Stay tuned to find out when I open and eat them in a couple hours

Such deals hardly exist anymore with inflation. There is a deal in the app of the place I ordered from (jimmy johns) where you get a free sub after you buy 5 subs. But I am still two subs away from redeeming that offer, and it would be a separate transaction anyway to get the free sub. I think the sandwich assembler just misread my order.
And yes subways spokesman from 10 years ago did end up being a pedo groomer, but subway is shit anyway. The last time I remember eating there was like 2 or 3 years ago on a road trip because it was the only place open
