Currently educating myself about the Chinese Civil War by reading Otto Braun's "Chinesische Aufzeichnungen (1932-1939)". In 1932 Otto Braun was sent to China by the Comintern as a military advisor. He was the only foreigner to participate in the CPC's infamous "Long March".
The Chinese to me are a mystery. I don't even really have anything against them, but it just seems as if they are very different from most people out there. If I had the attention span required to know anything about them other than what is said over imageboards, stuff like them being the equivalent of insects, which is not something I dispute, then I'd learn more about them. I would also think that the perspective of a German in China could be interesting to know more about.
