I heard school shootings can be prevented by giving students guns. Imagine a scenario, where somebody sees the school shooter and shoots him, then an another guy sees this guy shooting the school shooter and thinks he is the school shooter shooting him, third one comes and sees somebody shooting people and so on... With a chance there would be one guy left and everybody has shot eachother.

Well a school with 500 people there would be at least 5 psychopaths who could shoot a shooter with a handgun since psychopaths are 1% of population. However I doubt anyone would go near a school shooter with a taser unless they try to ambush the shooter, and I believe they would prefer to leave the building as fast as possible instead.

Why would anyone not prepared chase a school shooter, lol. If you try to play a hero in real life hoping to tackle the bad guy, there are very high chances, that something will go wrong and you will fall down and spaghetti will spill out of your pockets, while schoolshoter laughs and then finishes you off with the shot in the head.
In real life you are usually not prepared for confrontation, you may be in constricting clothes, with filled bladder, have phone in your pocket ready to ring in the wrong moment, your shoes are going to give up and betray you, like hundreds things can go wrong, like rolling snake eyes on dice. Even if you have a taser, it will fail you - 100% or the bad guy will dodge it. And then you will stand there like a retard not knowing what to do, while baddie aims at you ready to kill

A taser leaves no mark. Perhaps they will believe anybody who told they were bullied, but if not, there is no proof. Also if somebody regularly bullied somebody, at some point the victim would taser him.. and there was no proof and the bully is already untrustable. Would be justice though.

Yeah, you're right unfortunately. Another problem of taser is that it isn't completely safe and still may cause serious damage or even death as I told.
I was more like talking hypothetically, if tasers (or any other ranged non-lethal weapon) would be improved enough to compete with shooters.

Considering taser as ranged is an overestimation. I think the range is 3-5m which is useless when the shooter can shoot you from 50m.
From SWAT 4 (if I remember correctly) I learned SWAT uses somekind of BB/Paintball guns to cause stunning pain or something so that could work. Dunno if it is real.
