Is there a meaningful difference between shame and embarrassement? Perhapsembarrassement is an acute form of shame?

to get out of depression, ascend by acknowledging your unworthiness, then become jealous of others, hate them and take revenge

It seems to me there is no defined difference, merely a vague aesthetic one, which would interact with the context the word is spoken in, and as such lead to a different perception if interchanged.

Personally I would use ashamed if the feeling affected me deeply, embarrased if my reason
told me it shouldnt be an issue.

I guess it is:
>embarressement
what you feel when something unfitting happens around you and others see it too

>shame
what you feel when you did something bad (shameful) yourself
