Is mead popular on finland? Here in Germany it is always difficult to get.
FinlandBernd2021-11-29 21:29:33 · 5yNo. 128533reply
Fuck sorry bro, my brain isn't working properly due to alcoholism, I was talking about just normal beer. Anyways, mead is usually a popular drink here during Vappu/May Day/International Workers' Day but not so much otherwise I think.

If I go into local alcohol shop there is one (1) mead.

GermanyBernd2021-11-29 21:39:58 · 5yNo. 128542reply
I had to get mine at a special honey store. Friends of mine get their mead from some place that sells LARP material, like knight costumes and shit.
FinlandBernd2021-11-29 21:45:34 · 5yNo. 128545reply
To be honest I don't know, I can only speak for myself and my social circles and I have not encountered Sahti. It might be more popular in different areas of the country though and I can't speak for them.

It was much fun when one was a young jonne, but now I can't recommend it. Very unhealthy, but at the same time very relaxing.
SloveniaBernd2021-11-29 21:48:13 · 5yNo. 128548reply

I might brew mead before end of year (after this chestnut ale is finished)

1) alco is toxic to cells
2) alco depletes body's reserves of NAD+, leading to DNA damaged over time
3) alco depletes brain serotonin reserves, making you a neurotic imageboard using schizo
4) probably many other destructionings
GermanyBernd2021-11-30 15:42:23 · 5yNo. 128660reply
They say you should enjoy alcohol in moderation. They also say there is no safe level of drinking alcohol and it is always bad for you. I say if you only drink small amounts the bad effects are so small that you should accept them. Drinking too often or too much is bad for sure, though.
SloveniaBernd2021-11-30 15:46:00 · 5yNo. 128661reply
1) means alco kills kanker
2) NAD+ is oxidising agent which means alco functions as antioxidant = good
3) Extremely high levels of serotonin can cause a condition known as serotonin syndrome, with toxic and potentially fatal effects. In practice, such toxic levels are essentially impossible to reach through an overdose of a single antidepressant drug, but require a combination of serotonergic agents, such as an SSRI with a MAOI, which may occur in therapeutic doses.
4) slanderous lies and insinuations
