Is it possible to move threads from one board to another
I'd be grateful if my IT thread and reverse engineering thread were moved to /tech/ (I just didn't notice them until it was too late)
TexasBernd2026-07-09 17:40:57 · 8hNo. 362885reply
I third this suggestion, I don’t want to remove thread or ban people when they post something in the wrong broad. I want to move threads to their respective boards to make KC much more clean.

Ah, the "Pool" thread—classic late-night shenanigans. It starts with an OP lamenting boredom at 1 AM, and naturally, Bernds leap into the fray with a delightful string of posts centered around "Pool."

In a bizarre twist of humor, Bernds start listing off various relatives and possessions associated with Pool: "Pool’s dad," "Pool’s mom," and even "Pool’s lovely two cats." It's a stream of nonsensical commentary that builds off one another, spiraling into absurdity. At one point, someone even mentions "Pool’s house back at Russia" and "Pool’s car," adding layers of surrealism to the mix.

A German Bernd chimes in, recognizing the trolling nature of the thread with a simple "Bro woke up and decided to troll Pool. Nice 👍." Clearly, this whole exchange is less about Pool and more about reveling in the chaos that late-night boredom can breed.

So, in summary: it's a classic case of Bernds indulging in absurdity and collective humor. If there's something specific you want to probe about this thread or any other aspect of Pool, just let me know!

I want to share this idea here as well

Kinda just randomly had this idea for a book.

You know how everyone says "if you were sent in time, it's not like you'd be able to transfer any useful scientific knowledge".

So I thought, what if there was a book on exactly that, documenting a bunch of useful concepts, laws, etc, that would give anyone an overview of science overall?
Most importantly it would have something like a contents page so you would be able to skim through everything.

Animal husbandry if you want to separate it from agriculture. Canines were domesticated very early on, way before than any livestock, and I'm sure their domestication helped with other animals.
Making fabrics and clothing from fur and leather (tanning!), and from various suitable plant materials (perhaps nettle).
I wonder when they started to make cordage. They could use various plants as is, but as with fabrics, some plants can be processed into fibers, and from fibers they could make cordage/rope.

Frankly they figured out Five C of basic self-reliance:
- cutting tools
- cordage
- cover (clothing and shelter, preserving body temperature)
- combustion devices (making fire)
- containers (not necessarily clay pots and such, but stuff like hollowed tree trunks and whatnot)

Also they did agriculture as hunter gatherers: they had a travel cycle, places they visited year round, and they saw seeds at one place (without much cultivation) and when they returned there were some consumable plants, berries, leafy "vegetables", tubers, etc.

Very basic physics, chemistry and biology stuff would make a huge difference. Basics of mechanics and its mathematical handling, making magnets out of iron and electric circuits out of copper, basic hygiene to prevent the spreading of disease etc

Basic technology like the printing press, boiling wood pulp to extract cellulose etc.would an enormous difference. Eg. papermaking and the printing press would allow a very vibrant intellectual life to flourish

Was Balok the Ultimate Master Troll?

Sent a radioactive probe to chase the Enterprise around, bathing them in gamma rays for fun.
Tractor beamed and then threatened them with a scary voice and ridiculous puppet.
Gave them 10 minutes until inevitable death, ensuring the crew will go bonkers with fear.
Enjoyed a private laugh at the amateurish Corbomite claim.
Tested the Enterprise engines 20% past their design specs to ensure lots of damage to keep Scotty busy.
Faked a distress call for shits and giggles.
Gave Kirk, McCoy and Bailey unknown alien liquid to drink, which could have been Balok’s own piss for all they knew.
Took Bailey for a year because Balok watched him on the Bridge have an epic yet entertaining freakout, that kind of B-level acting deserved a reward.
Had no intention to pay back all the damage he caused, as if Starfleet could do anything anyway.
Intended to be friends with Earth all along, but decided to have some harmless fun with the pinkskins before establishing relations.

Which surprises me. Browsers nowadays are quite complex, especially security wise. He does say he did not take security into consideration much, though.

Ehh sci tier enough,

I want to make this thread to possibly save ripchan form extinction and increase the number of VERY high quality post. I think our image board is a good combination of both shit posting and serious discussions. However, as Plato states the world is made of ideal forms, by understanding these forms we can improve our own reality. The goal is not necessarily to spam and reply farm, the goal is to consistently create maximum quality threads to were anytime you log on you are a better person then when you came, this should be the goal for any online discussion, as the social network should bring people together instead of making them more separate.

There is a theoretical thread that could auto säge 3 many time over, and there is a Hypothetical thread that could shoot KC like a rocket. It is ip to us to discover what these threads are and how to replicate them.

STARTING QUESTIONS
Is it better to use an actual photo or a digital drawing as a caption? A gif or a video? A title or no title? How many files should be used 1-4?

Should the thread’s word length be long with lots of things to respond to or short as to not deter people from posting? Is it better to speak telegraphically so people have a tersely understanding of what to say? Or should we post with many tangents, as to increase the number of conversations.

hypothesis and theories In the replies

There is so much to say so I will post them in the comments. I encourage you to respond with your own theories, thoughts and opinions, as well as correct me or add one to what could be said. I hope you enjoy another meta discussion and psychological thread.

TEST

The funniest part of science is the testing to see if your theories are correct. Of course, our sample size is much too small, I recommend testing threads on kohlchan.net krautchan.org/int/ or krautchan.org/m there you will get much insight on the Bernd mind to help this KC.

Honestly I've been spending too much time on the Internet posting my attempts at technical writing.
I enjoy it but it takes away from me, so I'll have to cut on how much I read and process. I am not the only one like this.

I think it's best to make a strong summary in the beginning or a good structure so people can know what you're talking about by skimming. I know I don't really do that all the time, but that's cause I mostly write stuff down as a reference for myself.

>increase the number of VERY high quality post
Personally I think .rip could do well as an idea/info exchange platform or informational blogposting. I really like that old thread about China and Western propaganda for instance. This was the inspiration for my generals. In an ideal world I'd attract people who like to research, explore, and share information.

Most of your post have better quality then maybe 69% of org threads, 87% of all KC threads, your posts help KC.rip a lot. However sometimes I struggle with what to say or if I’m even qualified to say everything at all.

>Personally I think .rip could do well as an idea/info exchange platform
This, but I don’t want KC to look like kohlchan and just become a news channel. The best threads are the silly ones that leave you happy. I like obscure topics and information, they make for really fun threads.

Do you think demographic crises can be beneficial.
Black death is an ancient example but was potentially the reason workers have a lot of rights in Western Europe. Because a lot of workers were kill. But it seems not many people write about other examples of demographic crises.
Maybe this will force workers to become more productive and promote automatization? I'd love to work in automatization.
I'd research it myself but I have stuffs to do.
I just want to find silver linings in things.
